The mafia would offer local store owners protection for a "residual fee"
From a certain percent of income the store would make
If the owner of the store declined the offer
(Sometimes) they would send warnings like having the store vandalized by affiliate mafioso sometimes they sent no warning and just straight
Dome call (aint no reject bihh)

NOW LOOK AT OUR CURRENT SITUATION
we are in a what I would call a "friendly tax" how ?
1. Your pay check is deducted before you touch it

2. IT GETS NO MORE SIMPLE THAN THIS (PRETTY MUCH EVERTHING YOU BUY YOU ARE TAXED) Mafia shit right? I mean really lets look at it they killin you left and right with a danm near average of zero
( consequences)

They pull up behind you with flashing lights and some how suppose to magically have
Authority to make you halt and search, question, and sieze at will

Then the courts somehow trick you into thinking they have this magical power to have you incarcerated because you were not able to pay a fine for some false code regulation or statue which is not A LAW or you were WRONGFULLY CONVICTED (which we kno it happens all the time)
IS this fraternal order of bullshit
